The Comedian is a lovely novelette written by author Sean-Paul Thomas.

Like his other writings, author Sean-Paul Thomas creates an alluring take of a man who at his height of success and brink of reaching the autumn of his life. Then one day, he gets an opportunity to relive his past. He gets to understand the consequences of his choices and how his life could have panned out to be had he chosen differently.

Every person gets a chance to re-evaluate the choices they make in their lives, just like the protagonist. There are also times when we misunderstand people or circumstances, only because of our own complexes. The beauty of The Comedian is that it touches on these nuances of the human psyche while weaving an engaging story.

What stood out were the women characters of the novelette. Although the protagonist is a man, it is the strength of the women characters that give the story a push forward and offers it a decisive direction.

For a wonderful read, we @ WeLoveQualityBooks, give author Sean-Paul ThomasThe Comedian four sparkling stars. ⭐⭐⭐⭐

WeLoveQualityBooks shares the Book Review for Resemblance by Clarke Wainikka

That is how the intrigue in the novel The Resemblance escalates.

As a reader, you try to unravel the mystery. You make guesses. Rest assured, the author Clarke Wainikka has the readers confused and engrossed.

The story of The Resemblance progresses smoothly. With every turn of the page, the book becomes more and more absorbing.

Author Clarke Wainikka closes all the ends of the novel. The author’s writing presents a strong woman who weathers all the storm to salvage her existence, not using the conventional methods.

Any human being who is or has been a victim of domestic violence must read this book. Sometimes we don’t understand the extent of what we are going through unless we see that happening to someone else. The graphic yet artistic description of all that Louise goes through makes author Clarke Wainikka’s writing a masterpiece.

No, don’t get me wrong! It takes a genius to describe the most gruesome circumstance or emotion with such a perfect metaphor that it somehow acts as a creative buffer to all the goriness around.

The Resemblance underlines the effect of childhood complexes, experiences, disappointments that shape a personality. The novel beautifully describes what draws some to self-destructive choices in live while there are others who can ignore their superego and succumb to the most animalistic instinct.

In a world where violence (physical, emotional and psychological) is on a rise, the novel will give the reader to question the existing nuances that drive everyday living.

For a beautiful, engrossing and artistically gorgeous novel, The Resemblance– we at WeLoveQualityBooks give author Clarke Wainikka’s realistic and captivating writing ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ -5 stars.
